Under the current administration, Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment (MYSCE) is mandated with overseeing NGOs, which was a role previously undertaken by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As community empowerment is a field where expertise is limited at MYSCE, there is a need for technical assistance in building capacity.

Through this proposal, MYSCE seeks technical assistance in the following key areas:

NGO/CBO Capacity Building Program:

• Developing and conducting Needs Assessment Studies
• Project formulation and proposal writing trainings
• Developing people skills and capacity of ministry staff Community Empowerment Support Program:
• Developing and Conducting Needs Assessment Studies
• Conducting awareness and other related initiatives to empower communities
• Conducting English Language classes to communities
• Making community services more accessible
