Widen the Scope of
Literacy and Numeracy in 3
Regions of the Country
This proposal seeks to boost literacy and numeracy in youth through establishing 3 centres in 3 regions of the country to provide education, promote skills development and competency development for youth, women, out-of-school children, children who cannot be sent back to school for various reasons, and vulnerable youths and disadvantaged groups of children.
Through this proposal, the Government, with the execution of a three year plan, seeks to establish classes where literacy, numeracy, and skills development activities can take place, hire professional and technical experts and teachers to facilitate sessions on learning and practical, and carry out capacity building for NIE staff in the professional capacity who are in charge of coordinating and monitoring the programs.
