Facility for Mentally ILL
While rehabilitation is an important part of treatment for patients with mental illnesses, currently, there are no rehabilitation and treatment facilities for patients requiring longer periods of treatment or for people who are not responding to acute treatment, where they can learn independent living skills to live in the community.
This proposal aims to establish such a facility to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for rehabilitation of mentally ill patients, by equipping them with the skills required to live independently in the community while managing their illness.
Key components:
Establishment of the facility
Equipping the facility with necessary machinery and equipment
Training of staff, medical officers
Supporting the development of an institutional framework to support mental health policy interventions
